The Grand Mosque of Makhachkala (Yusuf Bey Cami) is the main mosque of the Republic of Dagestan. It was built in the 1990s with the help of Turkish masters and is modeled after the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) in Istanbul. It can accommodate up to 17,000 worshippers.
