Khoy is an ancient village located in the Vedensky District of Chechnya, near the border with Dagestan and the beautiful Lake Kezenoy-Am. The name 'Khoy' means 'settlement of guards'. The village was destroyed during the 1944 deportation but has recently been meticulously restored as an open-air museum.
