Chellah is a medieval fortified Muslim necropolis located in the metro area of Rabat, Morocco, on the south side of the Bou Regreg estuary. The site, which contains the ruins of the Roman city of Sala Colonia, was later used as a royal burial ground by the Marinid dynasty in the 14th century.
