Al-Zaytuna Mosque, or the Mosque of the Olive, is a major mosque in Tunis, Tunisia. It is the oldest mosque in the capital and covers 5,000 square meters with nine entrances. It is known for hosting one of the first and greatest universities in the history of Islam. The mosque is located in the center of the Medina of Tunis.
